511,000 Sales Plus Streaming
[378,000 Pure Sales]
The figures see Cole’s release serve as the third largest opening of the year, bested only by Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ (653,000) and Drake’s ‘Views’ (1.03 million).
A certified critical and commercial success, ‘Eyez’ adds another layer of triumph to the Hip-Hop titan’s impressive narrative.
Premiering at #1 on the next Billboard 200 is a given, but be sure to stay tuned to see how the LP fits into the thick of the rest of the chart.

It is a boring album and I had to have a blunt to vibe out with it. However, it’s a beautiful story about Cole’s journey to letting a woman touch his scars. It’s great to see an artist sell well with out a grandiose marketing scheme. No major interviews, no movie premieres, award show performances, exclusive radio deals nor any political controversy while still managing outsell his previous effort.

Hip-Hop albums are generally frontloaded, but these sales are still incredibly noteworthy especially in this sales climate where digital sales are on life-support. His streaming equivalents are incredibly impressive also – 170M+ in SEA alone.
