Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.

So, as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’  allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.

This week we get to press play on ‘Get the Party Started,’ the lead single from P!nk‘s sophomore effort ‘Missundazstood.’  Launched fall of 2001, the tune – composed by Linda Perry (also famous for Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Beautiful’ & songs by Adele, Miley Cyrus, etc.) – quickly grooved its way up to the top 10 and can be found at #4 on the Hot 100 this week in 2002 (where it peaked).

Remaining a fan favorite of the rebellious rhythmic rocker, tuck in below to traipse down memory lane and see who joined P!nk in the top 25 this week 15 years ago:

Pink’s music is underrated IMO, my favorites from her are “Who Knew” and “Just Like a Pill”, that top 20 was so diverse, “Wherever You Will Go”, “In the End”, “Hey Baby” “Always on Time”, “Rock the Boat”, I miss those days in music.

underrated my ass!! all her pop/rock s***** ass songs sounds the same.

Pink is the only one that lasted out of the 90/00. Pop girls.

    • Shakira Stan January 28, 2017

Shut up. Shakira is still going…maybe not scoring a US hit but she is still killing it in the rest of the world. Keep seething.

      • King B January 28, 2017

Pink still can sell Singles, Albums and Tickets. Shakira slays Youtubes and Streams like most of the Latin acts.

      • King B January 28, 2017

Conclusion: She’s not killing the game. She’s overrated.

Shakira had the biggest hit worldwide that year with Whenever, Wherever. Not to mention she had the best selling album of the year in 2002 too. That goes for the people who dare to say JLo has been bigger in music than Shakira. Shakira has had a tremendous run of hit after hit for at least 15 years in many places around the world. Her sales power has finally diminished these last few years. But it was a damn big train of one successful album after the other.
Celine Dion had the second best selling album worldwide that year (despite already being out of her commercial peak).
JLo was like the 10th best selling album I believe. And taht was her absolute commercial peak 🙂

    • King B January 28, 2017

Jlo is overrated. I believe she only had one, the most maybe 2 successful album.
