Grace Jones‘ journey to superstardom is to be honoured with a movie set for release this year.

The Jamaican icon has discovered that the BBC has commissioned a new project from the director Sophie Fiennes named ‘Grace Jones: The Musical of My Life.’
In it, viewers will be taken on a journey through the entertainer’s life, exploring her formative years in Spanish Town, her rise to fame as a model in the 70s, her romantic relationship with the Swedish superstar Dolph Lundgren, and her unmatched Pop culture permeation in the 80s and 90s.
The project stands as the very first built to honour Jones’ work and will premiere this year.
An official release date is yet to be set.
