Confirmed: Ryan Seacrest Returns To ‘American Idol’

It’s official…Ryan Seacrest has returned to ‘American Idol.’

Booted from Fox after its ratings slipped, the show was recently picked up by ABC who called on Katy Perry to stand as one of its judges.

For months, producers were locked into meetings with host Seacrest with hopes of finalising a deal which worked for all parties and, much to the delight of his fans, this week has seen them do just that.

ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey beamed…

Much of American Idol’s overwhelming success can be attributed to Ryan, whose larger-than-life personality and laudable dedication to creating quality entertainment has made him a true master of his craft. His talent is limitless, and I can’t think of a more appropriate person to honor the Idol legacy as it takes on new life than the man who has been there through it all.

Ryan added…

It’s genuinely hard to put into words what American Idol means to me. I’m so grateful for the show and all the career and life opportunities it’s allowed me to experience. It’s been an incredible journey from day one. To be asked to return this year, at my new home at Disney|ABC, is an honor, if not a bit surreal.

They made it seem as though it’d be years before the show returned. They’re back after missing just one season.

… why? in their last few seasons, idol failed to produce noticeable success, both on the tv front and the music front. it should’ve stayed dead.

    Bad decisions always get rewarded

Umm Ryan is NOT the reason why the show saw success. Didn’t he have a failed talk show?

I think Terrence J wouldve been a better choice. I feel that if they are starting over they need to START FRESH!

I disagree. I don’t like Terrence Jenkins and his tight a|zz suits. I think a comedian would be a better fit because with a funny comedian the show would get new spice. Terrence J does not offer anything new and his suits are just as tight if not tighter than Ryan’s.

Should’ve got Nick Cannon , I think that would’ve been really entertaining and save some of the budget for the artist; I feel like that’s how these shoes go wrong it’s a platform for the judges and for the host not the talent.

Here we go with the Recycling, Ryan is old…. if they want a fresh start, get younger, fresher talent. These millennials dont care about Ryan and his success anymore, nor do we care about his return, he didnt make nor break the show for us.
