Watch: Bryson Tiller Performs ‘Run Me Dry’ On ‘Kimmel’

Published: Tuesday 15th Aug 2017 by Sam

Bryson Tiller is riding the wave of success thanks to his feature on DJ Khaled’s ‘Wild Thoughts.’

Looking to inject some of that momentum into his own campaign, the singer took to Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform ‘Run Me Dry.’

The track is the latest to be issued from his sophomore album ‘True To Self,’ which topped the charts upon its release back in May.

Despite the LP’s initial success, sales have been slow.

Can his live efforts help push units. Watch below and find out why we’re not so sure…

The song’s title is oh so apt because Bryson stays bringing these raisin dry performances.

He’s definitely on to something with this rapper-like-approach to being an R&B singer, but he’s so un-engaging on stage. Like all the time. Walking up and down like he’s waiting for a bus and looking like the definition of disinterested. Sad, as the song is a bop.

The popularity of R&B males busting Usher-esque 8-counts may be on the bench, but for the love of all things good can we please be treated to something remotely engaging?

Because between Bryson and The Weeknd (who’s another stage snoozer), we’re losing hope.

Your thoughts?

My favorite song on the album and he sounded nice… Bryson you could’ve moved more and give the gals a few whines but I guess I’m just to Caribbean. Best song on the album

    Thank God for Bruno Mars.

Is it just me or doesn’t his “talent” seem hard to find?

Y’all hype him and other new (and old) stage fillers (because I REFUSE to call them artist) for making 3-4 minutes long “bops” and charting off streams, which doesn’t necessarily mean your song is a hit because a small group of people could just be playing all day everyday, but yet complain for the GAWDS when they can’t deliver a full body of consistent work or an even decent live performance? What did you expect? He don’t even have a vocal range and his voice is whinny and he hasn’t figured out how work a song still without sounding emotionally detached while singing about emotions!

I like Young Tiller but yes I totally agree that he is a cringeworthy performer along with The Weeknd (glad you mentioned him btw). This is why a talent like TINASHE needs to be placed on Award Shows doing performances because labels could rely on them to push singles with SOLID performances.
