Billboard Hot 100: Taylor Swift Spends Third Week At #1

Published: Monday 18th Sep 2017 by TGJ Staff

Taylor Swift is sitting high on the Billboard Hot 100 once again.

‘Look What You Made Me Do,’ lifted from her sixth album, ‘Reputation,’ is the #1 single for the third week in a row.

Details below…

The singer acquired 39.9 million US streams, scored 69,000 in digital song sales and 75 million all-format radio impressions. Interestingly enough, the Pop force was not #1 in any of those categories (streaming, sales or airplay) but her accumulated total is what pushed her to the top.

Elsewhere…

This year’s Cinderella story, Cardi B and her hit single ‘Bodak Yellow,’ remain at the #2 spot. Although the Bronx-native settled for the second spot overall, ‘Yellow’ was the most streamed song with 40.8 million US streams.

Sam Smith enters the Hot 100 this past week at #5 with the release of his new single ‘Too Good At Goodbyes.’ However, he is the #1 artist in the Digital Song Sales with 90,000 units sold. [Source]

***********

Will Taylor Swift remain at the top for a fourth week or will Cardi B knock her from pole position and create a historical moment? Stay tuned to see…

I get it Taylor Swift, we all get it…
But bisshh you could’ve waited a few weeks. If you really wanted to drop bombs on your enemies, maybe you could have waited until after Cardi B was number one, Nicki would have seethed much more. This album is nothing but a brag on status, following, and popularity, and vengeance for kanye n kim, Katy Perry, nicki minaj, and less about the music and more about the point. Nonetheless, nothing to worry, Cardi will hit number one when it’s time. #byetaylor

So it was ok for Taylor to block anaconda, but she should have stayed a few weeks so Bodak yellow could get that 1 spot, sigh other female rap fans are really Nicki’s haters.

Im sorry but that song is horrible. I dont understand non melodic music rather it be pop, rock, rap, r&b, etc. The song is allll over the place. I can only see it appeasing… Really children, soo it makes sense that she’d release it. Sounds like a radio disney reject. Taylor Swift is a very smart girl.

The negroes really came together and tried, but they still failed. LOL All the free promo and hashtags and you couldn’t do it. Trying to impose the ghetto on everybody else. White queen still at the top

I’m proud of her this was a good run she wanted to make a statement and she did now she can focus on the album. Next week she won’t be number1 nor will cardi because Postmolan is number1 on iTunes and Spotify
