Published: Monday 25th Sep 2017 by Sam

Lady Gaga and Netflix are proving a potent partnership.

The superstar singer premiered her ‘Five Foot Two’ documentary on the streaming platform last Friday and is already reaping the rewards.

Dive below for details…

As at writing, the diva’s latest album ‘Joanne’ – the recording and promotion of which is chronicled on the doc – has jumped to #8 on the US iTunes tally:

‘Million Reasons,’ the LP’s most successful single, has also returned to the iTunes top 100

Come through Gaga!

Yours truly has long been an advocate for artists using envelop-pushing mediums towards the benefit of one’s music.

Netflix is unique in that they don’t publish viewer numbers, but it’s clear they have the reach to impact the music charts. Case in point, Gaga’s gargantuan leap.

Moving forward, we’d love to see more acts follow-suit and embrace the power and global penetration of video streaming platforms for concerts and specials of this ilk. And it seems the likes of Beyonce and Janet Jackson are gearing up to do exactly that.

Your thoughts?

I have NEVER liked Lady GAGA. However, I did watch Her Netflix Special. Yes she has a drinking, Pill, Drug, Health problems – YES she was honest enough to talk about it. Yes, she has a Perfect real pair of Boobs, It makes her Normal, relatable and likeable. She’s extremely underrated, and very talented. ………and can’t drive.

And she used Madonna to promote the documentary, reviving the feud once again, Gaga is the biggest hypocrite, one day she admires Madonna, the next day she trashes her name, this is what I don’t like about her, she’s fake.

I watched this last night after downloading it illegally

She obviously prevailed. End of story. And it´s one of those cases where it really is deserved.
