The devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey in Houston has caused a bevy of public figures and celebrities to lend a helping hand.

Solange can be added to the lineup of names who have given monetary contributions to help the victims of the catastrophic disaster.

The soulful songstress also took to Instagram to share that she will be hosting a benefit concert at the Orpheum, Boston on September 28th.

All proceeds will go towards alleviating the effects experienced by the individuals and families caught up in the calamity.

Take a look below…

I will be doing a special “Orions Rise” show in Boston, and ALL proceeds will go towards Hurricane Harvey Relief. I’m committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love. The The Sun Ra Arkestra will also join the Texas-native on stage.

It was later announced that due to public demand another Radio City Music Hall concert date has been added, scheduled to take place on October 03, in New York City. Three dollars from every ticket purchased will go towards the relief of the victims affected by Hurricane Harvey.

As always, it is an incredible thing to see many with influence, power and resources come together to help those in need.
