Cardi B‘s blissful romance may be heading to a screen near you.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper made headlines over the weekend when boyfriend Offset (from Migos) proposed to her live on-stage.
Now, it’s being reported that their love revolution looks set to be televised.
According to TMZ, the couple have been inundated with offers from networks such as BET, VH1, and WE tv to share their wedding in a TV special akin to Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir‘s series ‘The Mane Event.’
Word is that Mona Scott Young is also in the mix – and given that her platform ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ launched Cardi into the stratosphere on VH1, a collaboration wouldn’t be far fetched.
Still, we imagine that if this is a go, Cardi will partner with whoever ponies up the most schmoney.
We’re not entirely sure how we feel about this, though.
Cardi is making mighty strides in the music arena and, from our vantage point, her focus should be that and that alone.
Commoditising her relationship, and at such an early stage, runs risk of her being overexposed. And all before we even have an album.
Just out two cents.
