Omarion Performs To Empty Arena In Namibia [Video]

Published: Sunday 29th Oct 2017 by Sam

Omarion once commanded a fan army of millions as part of B2K and during his early solo run.

However, only a handful of them showed up to his latest gig in Namibia. And we mean a handful.

Details and video below…

The 32-year-old was tapped to perform at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek on Friday.

As part of the agreement, he was asked to appear at press conference earlier in the day. That didn’t happen though, because his manager claimed he was exhausted from his flight and could not meet with the press.

What happened between then and showtime is anyone’s guess. But come his performance, next to no one was there.

See what we mean…

One member of the press weighed in, scathingly writing:

Looking to make light of the situation, Omari pressed on with the performance and even invited some of the few in attendance to join him on-stage:

‘Love & Hip-Hop’ viewers, maybe he’ll finally pick up Lil Fizz‘s calls now?

Your thoughts?

Something is going unsaid here. Was this a free concert? People with tickets would have showed up, and the promoters have to pay him regardless — or, will they say that he did not fulfill the contract by missing the press conference, thereby releasing the promoters of the obligation to pay?

Here in Africa, it’s hard to sell tickets before the show. 90% of tickets are sold at the gates.

I remember this happened to Brandy too a few years back!

    • MUSICHEAD October 29, 2017

Yea this happened to Brandy too. They made her the “surprise act” and didn’t announce she would be there. So by the time she came on stage everyone had left because none of the ticket holders knew she was coming. Looks like they did the same thing to Omarion…on purpose lol.

That was hilarious as well. Her career ended in 99, so that wasn’t surprising at all.

Wait not with full moon selling millions in 2002 and afrodisiac gold in 2005

And the numerous tv shows she’s starred in over the last 15 years

      • MUSICHEAD October 29, 2017

@Yes Luckily your career at McDonald’s is still thriving!

      • Yes October 29, 2017

@MUSICHEAD aww, did I strike a nerve sweetheart? Btw, projecting your underachieving place of employment, isn’t cute.

Stay mad, and continue flipping those burgers. ✌

In honor of Omarion’s empty gig, here’s 17 more concerts that were just as vacant
Special mention goes to Azealia Banks at #6, Miss Keri baby at #8…the funniest? Carly Rae at #4…notice that lil girl doing cartwheels while she’s performing lol…she was like, “GIRL, can you please be quiet…you ain’t up there doing nothing.”

It’s One Thing To Use The Empty Arena Joke As Something To Put Down Someone’s Fave, But For The Joke To Actually Be A Reality Is Not Funny To Me. It’s Actually Embarrassing. Good Thing Omarion Isn’t A Cocky MF Bragging About His Stats. If So, Then This Will Be The Highlight Of The Week. Let This Be A Lesson For EVERY Celeb Including The Ones Who’s Excessively Succeeding; Remain Humble!!

So maybe he will now lol

    Omarion should fire his manager

      Stella teas

Are we really surprised? Omarion’s career has been in limbo since he went solo, minus a hit or two. He’s not even that popular in America! Why would he have an audience in a foreign country?

If Omarion would’ve stopped trying to be a s** symbol he might still have a decent following.

  12. WhiteNigga101 October 29, 2017

    Flop…. lol

  13. eric October 29, 2017

No surprise. I couldn’t wait for him to get off stage a couple years ago on the Chris Brown tour. He’s not authentic with his music and artistry. He sounds like a voice actor in his latest songs.

    Oops ✌??

  15. Jasmine October 29, 2017

Tickets were as low as 10 bucks and 50 bucks for the VIP package which included meeting Omarion.

  16. blue October 30, 2017

there was no advertising for this, people didn’t even know he was coming

  17. Sasha October 30, 2017

Mbaue what happened. the problem was that the organizers did not advertise him properly. He only had one poster in the whole of windhoek what did he expect. And he came at the wrong time there were alot of events of other well known artists.

Cockiness doesn’t work for everyone… I was a big Omarion fan, but then he just did too much overall with his rising. If anyone will bring that ass back down to earth, it will be your fans. I wish you well dude… Reconnect, keep it human, and keep it real life on a level that fans will respect and admire ya… One…
