Did Omarion Just Shade Chris Brown?

Published: Thursday 9th Nov 2017 by Sam

Omarion achieved one of the biggest hits of his career courtesy of Chris Brown collaboration ‘Post To Be.’

But he’s now coming under fire from fans of his comrade following a supposedly shady comment he made on Instagram.

See what we mean below…

It all started when the 32-year-old announced new project ‘Care Package 4.’

When slammed by one commenter about the length between his releases compared to C. Breezy (who just dropped a 45-track album), the former B2K star had an “interesting” response…

Now, in the spirit of fairness, there are few different readings of this – some of which have nothing to do with Chris.

However, we’d bet Omarion wishes he used better wording. Because it could easily be seen as him remarking on the quality (or lack-there-of) of Chris’ releases.

Your thoughts?

Did he lie? Chris’ music is soulless. Everybody knows that his fans are the ratchets who do credit card scams for red bottoms. Low brow.

  2. Bruno Martian November 9, 2017

Omarion said what we’re all thinking and that is that Chris Brown is a cheap musician. He thinks that recording 100 songs a minute makes him hard working not realising that he can only record 100 songs a minute because those songs are trash. Montell Jordan knew how to make quality party Music. Chris is just a broken down McDonald’s ice cream machine pumping out cheap and low quality content for anyone silly enough to buy it.

    • tyana November 9, 2017

#Teambreezy is the most focused, loyal, determined and driven group of fans in the music industry. Solely focused on @chrisbrown’s craft irrespective of naysayers’ opinions. #HBOAFM OUT NOW. Buy and Stream it. We’re going next #Teamwork #weinthisbish.

      • BossBish November 9, 2017

Damn is there still a “Team Breezy”? Dude is expectant to have only sold 21,000 copies of his cd but he got 40,000,000 followers according to him.

I haven’t been on this site in years….

    • tyana November 9, 2017

That’s so tacky of Omari to do like Chris gave you a top song, brought you on HIS Tour & you’re mad because what? No one is checking for you? Wow work harder! Don’t be shady, Be Thankful h**!

    • tyana November 9, 2017

Omarion really needs to stop because if Chris wasn’t on post to be that s*** would be trash. so f*** out of here b****.

  3. Ousha-Marie November 9, 2017

Omarion stfu u irrelevant just hating cause Chris a legend and u not Chris winning and you not Chris has a Grammy you dont all Chris albums are classics Post To Be was soulless Chris made that song good! F*** you asshole

    • Bey Sting November 9, 2017

Legend? The peasants cried! Define legendary.

      • tyana November 9, 2017

Chris is a lot of things but he’s never been a hater or bitter towards other artist! Ain’t never stepped on anyone’s toes or blamed anyone for his setback dude just went harder. Bitter “has been” fake industry folks hella weird. It’s not his fault s*** ain’t working for you.

    • DanYiel Iman November 9, 2017

I agree with you!! “Heartbreak on a full moon” is EVERYTHING & it works for a lot of his fans!!

    • Audreyherbsburm November 9, 2017

Chris ain’t done nothing classic either….

      • tyana November 9, 2017

chris dose have classic song dumb haters.

    • ??? November 9, 2017

      lmao 45k a legend? lmfaoooooo

      • tyana November 9, 2017

now chris have 5,000000000 its gold now LEGEND.

    • Jasmine November 9, 2017

He is not hating on Chris. He never said Chris’s music was not soulful. He is essentially saying Chris is signed to a record label (hence “business obligations”) and he is independent (hence no obligations and no financial backing). He was signed to Rick Ross’s label back in 2012 and no album was released under that contract so he very likely is an independent artist now

      • tyana November 9, 2017

        yes he was.

      • tyana November 9, 2017

Christopher ended many careers back in 2005 and was still humble about it.

      • tyana November 9, 2017

His delusional industry “friends” are the prime example of “it be your own kind” headasses.

      • tyana November 9, 2017

Exactly but he so damn delusional to the point he think we still in 04-05.

      • tyana November 9, 2017

He need to go secure a damn bag while he up here performing in empty ass stadiums.

      • Jasmine November 9, 2017

@Tyana. Why are you so pressed pigeon troll? CB does not want you and we don’t need pigeons regurgitating the obvious and stan delusions.

  5. Danny Bey November 9, 2017

This is such a reach. He’s not even responding to the Chris Brown part 🙄

    • 2bad2bme November 9, 2017

Exactly, he didn’t even mention Chris Brown the other person did. People always reading too deep into things.

      • tyana jones November 9, 2017

yes he did and yall forget O concert was half empty last month? he trying and thinks its 04-05 and OMAIAN F*** U.

      • Danny Bey November 9, 2017

  6. liam November 9, 2017

He didn’t lie…but music wise omarion has gotten better sonically than Chris music wise and he’s grown vocally as well….I use to like Chris his new album have a few cute songs but that’s it! But omarion s** playlist album and EPs are really good

    • tyana November 9, 2017

  7. B2B November 9, 2017

Y’all go so hard on CB…. Chris newest album is great, shows his diversity and it’s a playlist… funny how you guys call Nicki, Katy, Gaga, and Rihanna icons/ legends but not Chris? Love those women, but honestly Chris has had just A bigger impact music. CB birthed a all these new R&b guys Ty Dolla Sign included. He definitely helped pave the way for hip hop being dominate on the radio… soulless? No, but also he is not a soul singer! Tank, Sam Smith, Luke James and Kem are. Chris is r&b/hip hop. Get off his jock and put some RESPECT on his name! Another thing, sales have nothing to do with impact.

    • Honestykills November 9, 2017

Chris has had a bigger impact on music? Show me the receipts. Everything Chris has done since 2012 sounds exactly the same. Chris doesn’t have a “Firework”, Chris doesn’t have a “Bad Romance”, He hasn’t grown as an artist and he thinks featuring on 100 songs a year is him being a legend. He’s over saturated himself and his music is not legendary at all. It’s fast food R&B hits. Stop throwing out legendary and huge impact for artist who have done nothing of the sorts.

  8. XYZ November 9, 2017

He didn’t lie though. Chris makes the same song for years now. Though I really do not like Chris brown or support him by any means, I liked some of his old songs. But these days his songs all sound the same. Omarion on the other hand is very underrated, imo. Distance should have been a hit!

    • tyana November 9, 2017

that song distance was slept on its a flop too.

  9. Cooldudetru November 9, 2017

Regradlist if Chris neva made a soulful
His not tryn to be musiq
    Eric benet ,Maxwell,deangelo,etc.but
make love off x album was kind of soulful ,but also chris knows his strength in stays in his lane musically he’s not tryn to be
neo soul … An I believe every artist do it there way an have there time to shine which I’m cool wit cuz I’m glad everyone’s differents.beside Chris still around wen must soulful singers sleep under a rock

    • Bey Sting November 9, 2017

Under a rock? My dear. Those artists stay winning Grammys! Ever wonder why Chris is never mentioned in Super Bowl conversations ? Every one knows he can’t slay outside of the basic and reductive audiences he plays to.

      • Cooldudetru November 9, 2017

Cool review but who cares they all black an winning

    • tyana November 9, 2017

  10. ??? November 9, 2017

lmao @ people arguing over two irrelevant flops lmfaoooooo….

    • tyana November 9, 2017

    • Bey Sting November 9, 2017

The same one that sold 21k ? 😂😂😂😂 What would he be without free streams?

    • Bruhman November 9, 2017

I’ll only agree with you on Omarion being irrelevant but Chris Brown on the other hand is farrrrrrr from irrelevant. Chris Brown has literally outlasted and outshined all the Male R&B acts that debuted the same year as him (Neyo,Trey Songz/Omarion etc) . He’s literally the biggest male R&B star of the 2010s . He’s even doing better than Usher himself these days (Usher’s still the 🐐 Tho). His songs are literally all over radio and he’s featured on everyone’s songs not to mention his new album going gold in one week and having a successful tour this year. You don’t have to be a fan but let’s not act like the man isn’t playing a huge role in music right now. Omarion last hit was because of Chris let’s not forget that.

      • tyana jones November 9, 2017

Don’t even mention Chris Brown and Omarion in the same sentence. Chris selling out shows, and well Omarion … performing to empty crowds.

      • Cooldudetru November 9, 2017

I agree chris still make usher look good….

    • tyana November 9, 2017

This might offend some of y’all but Chris Brown is the greatest artist of our generation … just wanted to put it out there.

      • Cooldudetru November 9, 2017

I agree. Chris is a kind dude who’s willing to work wit must artist new and old that’s onew reason I respect him

  11. Tim Brown November 9, 2017

I am still waiting on CB to have a “Confessions” moment. At this point I am really over certain acts that sing other people’s melodies on a sampled or trap “computer” beat! Jaquees did Avant, CB did Jon B, Tory Lanez did Brownstone…like where is the originality! These urban labels keep signing these basic voiced people w/ limited stage appeal whilst acts like Alessia and Charlie playing instruments and know how to make relatable/radio friendly material!! That’s the point of being signed to a major label!

    • tyana November 9, 2017

Omarion just needs to direct his disappointment elsewhere. If Breezy wants to make music for business; he has the right to. Omarion came out b4 but he didn’t handle his career well. Breezy is multi-talented nd multi-dimensional. He has the Midas Touch. simple!

      • tyana November 9, 2017

True, not taking anything away from him. You said it right; he’s good but not as far as CB. Look at Jacquees, Mario, Sammie, Bryson etc… if he has a problem with CB then what would he say about Bruno Mars or Miguel. These guys are chameleons.

    • tyana November 9, 2017

That’s true fans are fickle, especially nowadays fans who will quickly drop an artist for the new waves. The good thing that Chris and Trey did is that they managed to keep their chore fans which Omarion hasn’t well managed to do. No disrespect

    • tyana November 9, 2017

Totally agree. The beautiful thing is that we’ve been there b4 the streaming services, we’re here now with the change music and new waves and hopefully we’ll here when it changes again to what? We’ll see. At least we’ll say we were there though it all. Real nd fake music fans

  12. iamdiego November 9, 2017

Omarion does not make music for the soul either. Delusional much. The only few songs that sounded a little soulful was on his first album back in 04 (when tank was writing for him). Icebox was good too..but that’s about it. Vocally he has not grown much either.

  13. Pam November 9, 2017

One thing a person can’t take away from Chris he’s willing to work wit new and old artist that’s why I respect him alot, most artist won’t are can’t work together for creativity reasons.
real facts though every new artist or group in the 2000s along have had a song wit chris facts
    Not Rihanna,trey,neo,omarion,etc
Chris is all ova radio his songs/ feat songs also

  14. Pam November 9, 2017

Imagine if Rihanna fight wuldnt have happen all haters on here wud love chris .I always felt she was a block in his way an lets be real who listen to her music its wack………only reason her alive cuz the world feel sorry cuz she started a fight wit Chris but got her a– whip
