Sam Smith looks set top the Billboard 200 easily next week with sophomore album ‘The Thrill Of It All.’
However, how big will the British star debut? Find out what the forecast looks like after the jump…
According to Hits Daily Double, the set – which was preceded by hit single ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ – is on course to shift the following…
195,000-205,000

******
165,000-175,000
[Pure Sales]

It’s an interesting set of figures.
Because, on the one hand, they’re in line with the 165k Stateside debut of his 2014 freshman set ‘In The Lonely Hour.’
However, when placed in the context of the fact that the LP went on to sell 2.3 million in the US and 5 million worldwide, it begs the question of whether the numbers “should” – in theory – be higher.
Then again, maybe just maybe, the project may prove to be a steady seller. Much like its predecessor.
Maybe.
