Mariah Carey has reportedly extinguished her relationship with fiery manager Stella Bulochnikov.
Full story below…
According to The Blast, the pair parted ways recently.
It’s not immediately clear why, however.
For Bulochnikov, who was introduced to Mimi by embattled film director Brett Ratner, the singer is said to have become “too difficult to manage” due to her “erratic behavior.” It’s also being touted that her dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka is starting to have a heavier than necessary presence in her professional day-to-day endeavours.
On Carey’s end, there’s been incessant calls from fans and industry figures alike for her to sever ties with the Russian.
An understandable, but prickly predicament.
See, on the one hand, Bulochnikov has been instrumental in bringing in bigger bucks – by way of various TV, film, and touring ventures.
However, several missteps have also taken place on her watch. Namely the car-crash E! reality series, the aftermath of Carey’s NYE scandal, ill-advised interviews, and a slew of odd brand alignments. All of which have been detrimental to the diva’s public standing.
In any case, though confirmation is pending, it’s worth noting that Bulochnikov hasn’t posted anything related to the songbird on her social media in weeks. Nor was she in attendance at Carey’s recent hand and footprint ceremony this week.

Whatever the case, there’s clearly a lot of brand rebuilding that needs to take place with Mariah. Something she needs to be both aware of and contribute to herself. In an era where artists are taking the reigns of their own careers, gone are the days of blaming managers exclusively.
Here’s hoping the weeks, months, and year ahead bring about the right kind of change for Mimi.
