Tamar Braxton isn’t letting her split from Vince Herbert keep her out of the spotlight.
Tonight, the R&B belter makes her return to the live circuit on ‘The Great Xscape Tour’ alongside Monica, June’s Diary, and headliners Xscape.
Before then, she styled and profiled for Vulkan Magazine.
Beyond blazing the pages of the Canadian publication, she also sat down for an interview.
Interestingly, she seized the moment to reveal that – despite touting recent release ‘Bluebird Of Happiness’ as her “last album” – it may very well not be.

Tamar On Not Retiring:
I’m not saying that I’m never going to do another album, but as for right now, this feels right and until I have something else to say I am not going to do another one. And I have Bluebird of Happiness to thank for that. It’s about finding your wings, being 40 and taking risks and jumping into my destiny.
Tamar On Her Next Steps:
There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes and not necessarily in front of the camera. Television is something that I fell in love with and for me, it is the most satisfying. I love to give other people opportunities, hear other people’s stories. I love to interview people, find out their background, find out what makes them excited about life. That is what makes me excited about getting up in the morning and going to work. I’m still doing the Braxtons and Tamar and Vince is wrapping up but I do have two other shows in production.
Tamar On How The Xscape Tour Came About:
Well, everybody knows that Tiny and myself have been friends for a really long time and although we kinda had a public fallout, a fallout that wasn’t even that serious, but other people made it more than it was, they had the opportunity to go on tour and Xscape reached out to my agent and said they got to have me on their tour. At that time I was thinking about doing a Bluebird of Happiness tour but they called a couple of times and and because they came to me with the idea of making it a female empowerment tour, I was down. It was so beautiful, I had to put the Bluebird of Happiness tour on pause and do it afterward and to be honest, this is the best decision I have made in a really long time… one of them.
No surprises about the retraction of the final album angle. We long suspected that was a blend of drama in her personal life and a promotional tool.
In any case, we wish Tamar the best moving forward.

She did not lie though. She clearly said she is not recording any new music all along coupled with still promising to keep touring. That screams that she will not be releasing any new music until after her messy divorce is over and Vince has not contracts hanging over her head (he technically managed her (management contract) and signed her on to E-One records (distribution deal contract)).

It was obvious even before it was revealed Vince was beating her a$$ that she was leaving just to please his fat ass. Now that he’s bout gone she’s hesitant to leave music.

Tamar’s biggest hit lies ahead. i couldn’t get it to her in time for Bluebird. I don’t think she was lying at all about not releasing anymore albums. I think she was making a last ditch effort to save her marriage, b/c there was too much discord between her and Vince during the making of Bluebird. As it is, he didn’t do a good job of A&R’ing this album. She needed better songs. Tamar is 40, but her fan base is half her age — and she needs to reach much further out than r&b. I don’t think they gave enough thought to what a HIT release sounds like for Tamar.
