Scribbled in history books for some good and not-so-good reasons, 2017 brought with it some of modern music’s most memorable moments.  Now, as the year draws to a close, TGJ is reflecting on our favorite moments that rocked – and to some degree reshaped – the Urban and Pop musical landscape as we know it.

Next, we look back at the unfortunate terrorist attack on Manchester, England that brought the whole world together in unity thanks to no small effort from pop diva Ariana Grande:

The lives of thousands of European concertgoers would be forever changed on May 22, 2017 after a terrorist set off a bomb in the foyer of the Manchester Arena after Ariana Grande performed the last song of the evening on the sold-out stop of her ‘Dangerous Woman World Tour’ [click here to read more].

Leaving a toll of over 20 people dead with nearly 60 injured, the attack set in motion a worldwide outpouring of sympathy for the songstress and her fans.  Forcing Grande to suspend her wildly successful world tour [click here to read], the move by no mean signified defeat.  Later calling on help from celebrity pals Katy Perry, Usher, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and more for a benefit concert billed ‘One Love Manchester’ [click here to watch], the charitable outing not only raised millions of dollars in support of those affected by the tragedy, but helped hoist Grande’s ‘One Last Time’ back to the top of iTunes sales charts across the globe.

The 24-year-old songstress won hearts from many-a-corner of the globe and, with the support of fans and fellow celebs, emerged victor over the tragedy.

It took a strong white woman to bring everyone together that’s so beautiful.

Her make up is terrible. She always looks and sounds SO generic. She´ll be totally forgotten. She´s amking zero impact. Zero. Even Celine´s new little song for the last beauty and the Beast at 50 years-old received a better treatment than the new verson of the old classic by this girl.
