See, in being released on a Thursday (instead of Friday), only its first day performance will be tallied and counted towards the next issue of the Hot 100.
It’s actually the chart of the week after that will more accurately relay its success, as that count will include a full week’s worth of figures.
Add to that the incoming release from Justin Timberlake and 2018 is already off to a super competitive start on the charts.
