Remy Ma‘s 2018 is off to a positive start!

Keen to focus on the release of her next album ‘Seven Winters and Six Summers’, the Hip-Hop diva spreads a message of self love and positivity with her new jam ‘Melanin Magic.’

The song has bombed viciously since its unveiling but has carved out a promising lane for the star’s new album to speed on when it hits retailers this year.

Yet to see her perform it live?

You’re in luck!

For, waiting below is footage of her rocking the cut with The Roots.

Smashed it!

Ms. Ma is yet to announce a release date for ‘Winters’ but can be expected to do so within the coming months with the full support of Columbia Records, home to Beyonce and Adele.

Also dropping new heat this year?

Her sisters in sound Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.

We look forward to all three releases.

Her flow is dated on this song and i hate how she trys to articulate each and every word. Chris should’ve been the lead artists on the track!

Aren’t you supposed to understand what’s being said? I think we’ve become to accustomed to mumble rappers that we can’t appreciate rappers who we are able to speak clearly. ?

        Totally agree Jeff…smh

True. But Remy said that she throws everybody out of the studio when she records b/c she doesn’t want their opinion on her flow. That might not necessarily be the best thing to do. Remy is a female gangsta rapper that needs to rap about hard/street lyrics like she did on Plata Ploma. All the tracks on Plata Ploma were perfect for her flow. I love that album.

@Yolanda, but Plata o Plomo bombed hard. Besides, her flow hasn’t changed from that album to the music she’s putting out now. Still has that same hard street BX sound.

Two things: (1) Remy’s last two songs do not seem to reflect the name of her album. I thought she was gonna rap about her time in prison. (2) Her two latest efforts are remixes, not even samples. I did not need to hear another Pretty Brown Eyes or Queen Bish. But I will buy her album when it drops b/c I like everything she stands for. I support black love and black families.

How are those remixes?? Those are both 100% samples. A remix would be an attempt to create the same song, but with a different style. Most of the time remixes have the same exact beat, just an added verse or feature. Obviously Remy’s intent was to sample those tracks and use their melodies, but she created her own songs, which both have different lyrics, themes, & beats. There is a difference.

Actually Plata o plomo sold $200,000 independently. It did good

She’s a dope mc/live performer. She just needs a mic, not everybody has that to their credit

I luv remy ma but I have to honest I think she will flop ! She talk bad about Nicki to everyone I knew karma would come back to bite her and I’m a remy fan think she is dope as f*** but think about it she had a single with lil Kim and Chris Brown and no body is talking about either both single floped that ain’t nothing but karma but I hope the album will at least hit top 5

Everything Nicki said about Remy is true. Remy never said that she would sell more songs than Nicki or be more relevant after coming home from prison. Nicki is selfish, a female rap hater, and she’s probably somewhere overseas foreign sick. According to the video where Nicki is smoking a laced blunt, she’s obvious a coke head too. Nicki was tweaking too much. No one tweaks like that on weed. It was obvious laced with coke or perc. Honestly, I hope she is away in rehab.

You mean everything Remy said about Nicki is true.

Another song that will sit on the bubbling under the hot 100 …

will do well on radio chart … and perhaps the R&B / Hip Hop …

However this song sounds too dated … it needed a fresher flow …

Raping over washed up beats isn’t gonna ✂️ It. Come harder!!!! She could learn a thing or two from nicki and cardi

Hopefully it’s all going to work out for Remy Ma & Cardi B!!
