Drake Shoots ‘God’s Plan’ Video At Miami High School As Song Remains #1

Published: Monday 5th Feb 2018 by Sam

It looks like Drake is just getting started with ‘God’s Plan.’

The jam, which was unleashed as part of the ‘Scary Hours’ EP, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and extends its reign today for a second week.

For some artists said success would be enough, but it appears Drizzy is about to flex his promotional muscles.

Details below…

As we write, the Canadian MC is shooting the song’s video at Miami High School.

It marks an interesting shift in strategy for the rapper, who has often shunned dropping videos for some of his biggest hits (see: ‘One Dance’).

Isn’t it funny that you can have a #1 on BB TOP 100 and no gives a s*** or even knows your single is out? Thank you streaming!

My sentiments exactly, a whole lot of the public don’t know this song …but props to a king though

lmao, I was just thinking this. I have no idea what this song, EP, whatever it is, is. The crazy thing is, the song is not “popular”. By any means. I’ve heard no hype, no interest, of any sort. Right now, you can release anything and it’ll go number 1. Imagine back in the day when you went to a record store just to check out new music. You had to listen to a song just to see if you liked it, and it turns out you didn’t so you weren’t gonna buy, but that listen was still counted in some way towards the artists’ sales. It’s such a joke. I really need to get in on this music business. They’re handing out free platinum plaques, free Grammys, free chart records and positioning. I’m in the wrong industry.

If no one knew of the single or it being out it wouldn’t have been purchased or streamed s upid f ucks

You don’t have to purchase the music, you literally can sit at home and repeatedly stream the same song all day and it’ll move up. Now imagine people hearing about the single, streaming for a couple days…not even listening to the song, just playing it. Now do this for 2 weeks. You have a number 1 single. Playing it at parties, in the car, just off their phones. Yet no one really brought the song but everybody has it.

I can’t believe this song is #1. Shocked, actually. Not saying it’s a bad song… it’s just not #1 material.

True. He’s super hyped and because of his name, everyone rushes to stream his single…then BOOM!! Its #1. Probably 90% of the people that streamed dont even like it. But the fact that they ‘listened’ counts as a sale. Its different for an artist that no one knows about, people actually have to like your song before they stream. So if your song goes #1 it actually means that your song is popular and people really like it.
