Christened ‘Fake People,’ the lyrics read like a confessional right from ‘RHOA.’ Indeed, she sings:

Kandi must be talking about herself as she is the fakest one. It’s funny how she is not doing new music with Xscape but she release this wack song. The epitome of fake as she will ruin the legacy not her group members.

The fact that this has a TLC vibe circa 2002 and TLC had a song called “Case of the Fake People” in 1994… makes this… well… dated and kind of elementary in lyrical content.
I know that Kandi (along with Tiny) wrote songs for Destiny’s Child and TLC but i can’t think of anything recent that has been any good. That being said, this song is awful and her voice really isn’t pleasant.
The song sounds sort of like Irreplaceable and Unpretty or Waterfalls but the lyrics aren’t as creative as those songs. Main thing though is I just don’t like the tone of Kandi’s voice at all.
The song is about xscape she got the tour money and didn’t record a new album with them
for me it’s not her voice specifically its the writing. the head voice sounds pretty.
A bit elementary for me but I kind of acquired to taste for her voice now. She needs to leave the Pop genre alone though and music that suits her voice.
I will say she writes better (for others) than she sings for herself.
