Surprise! Janelle Monae Drops TWO New Videos – ‘Make Me Feel’ Video & ‘Django Jane’

Published: Thursday 22nd Feb 2018 by Sam

Janelle Monae has powered up her ‘Dirty Computer.’

The eclectic singer last week announced the set as her upcoming visual album and today premiered its first two videos – ‘Make Me Feel’  and ‘Django Jane.’

The visual for ‘Feel’ (a jam  which samples Prince‘s ‘Kiss’) was directed by Alan Ferguson, while the clip for ‘Django’ was helmed by Andrew Donoho and Chuck Lightening.

What are you waiting for? Check out both after the jump…

A double dose of fire!

It’s clear Ms. Monae is going all out for her third swing of the bat.

The visuals were slick, envelope pushing, and tell a compelling story.

Welcome back!

‘Make Me Feel’ and ‘Django Jane’ are both lifted from Monae’s new LP ‘Dirty Computer,’ which arrives April 27th.

Loving every minute of it!!!!! The first one is a stone cold tribute to Prince (that shouldve been on the SB) stage and the second one shows her rap side. Bring on the “dirty computer” era, Ms.Monae, im totally here for it!!!!

Just realized Solange’s husband directed “Make Me Feel”…love it!

    • The Wig Snatcher February 22, 2018

Good! It was not Solange herself. We don’t need another WTF moment like SZA’s video.

Salute to the Queen. Her visuals and music, especially the lyrics are very on point. Janelle is great. Period.

’Make Me Feel’ was ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS ?. So glad to see Janelle switching it up stylistically to keep us engaged in her artistry, that black and white was starting to make her 2 dimensional and was not making people focus just on the music . THIS is how you reference the late great Prince – Justina should take notes AND SIT DOWN. ????

I’ve never listened to Jheanelle before, never been a big fan. But sis snapped on both videos. They were both so good.

I love her. I´ll definitely buy the album no doubt. Such real and unique talent. Only two albums I remember buying last year were Lorde´s and Lana´s “Lust for Life”.

    This was so good btw.

Both songs and visuals are top notch, Make Me Feel is pure Prince, I love it, and that album cover is epic.

Yay for the real s******! She´s amazing. Visually stunning and so fresh and creative. Her previous album was already top notch including the cover too.
