Jessie J continues to razzle and dazzle on Chinese TV show ‘Singer.’
The vocal powerhouse has earned praise aplenty for her weekly slayage on the platform, which pits established acts against each other for the ultimate prize.
On this week’s instalment, the British bred belter took on Chaka Khan‘s classic ‘Ain’t Nobody’ and, as expected, she soared to the highest heights.
Watch Jessie jam like only she can after the jump…
That was…everything!
No word on when the show wraps, but we’re hopeful she continues to bring such fire performances in support of her upcoming album ‘R.O.S.E’ – which drops later this year.
Yes she f***** did that !!! Yes mam !!
I’m here for Jessie, but i fear that her album may not live up to these fire performances that she’s been giving week after week. Jessie is giving us diva! diva! and more diva!! i think more award shows in the future and tributes
This actually cheapens her brand to me she is already a signed recording artist what is point of her competing on this show unless this is to help promote the album I don’t see her purpose on this show.
It’s call a paycheck.
The show is actually for signed singers. Most of the contestants are well known in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan etc. but just not mainland China
This particular singing competition is only opened for professionally recognized, well established singers, which is why it is by far the BIGGEST TV show in China and in global chinese communities. All contenders are elected by a board of electors (all professional musicians in the industry), and attendance is exclusively by INVITATION. It is well understood that being invited to this competition means that one’s talents and skills have been well acknowledged by other professionals, and singers take great pride to be invited. It is like the Olympics Games in singing competition, and we are grateful that Jessie J is helping to extend and to introduce it to the western world.
She ATE THAT…wow ?
Not discounting Jessie’s great performance but no one is giving props to the singer who threw her out of rank in this week’s episode. Check out KZ Tandingan’s genre-bending version of Adele’s Rolling In The Deep.

She has a massive chip on her shoulder (“poor me, why don’t people like me when I’m great”, “I’m the best singer in the world why does no one see that?” etc.) and equally is her own biggest fan which makes for a toxic combination. Be humble.
