Despite some of last week’s competition (namely Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line) narrowing the streaming and sales gap between them, Drake still managed to hold on to the top of the Hot 100 for another week with ‘God’s Plan.’
Giving the rapper his 9th week overall, ‘Plan’ – thanks to over 68 million streams, 44,000 paid downloads, and strong radio airplay – keeps its grip on the tally’s perch. The stats also give Drizzy yet another unique entry into Billboard history books.

“Plan,” which launched atop the Feb. 3-dated Hot 100, is just the fifth song in the chart’s 59-year history to spend at least its first nine weeks on the survey at No. 1. It passes the halfway point to the record of 16 weeks at No. 1 from the start of a song’s time on the chart, set by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day” in 1995-96.
While the streaming sum is the lowest for “Plan” so far, the song now sports nine of the top 14 streaming weeks all-time. It reached a high of 101.7 million U.S. clicks on the chart dated March 3. Only Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” has drawn more streams in a week: 103.1 million…

Like I said last week: ridiculous. The landscape in mainstream music keeps getting worse and worse. Apart from the streaming pshit that seems to help this guy so much, there´s the fact that there´s literally no competition out there. Not even some other basic songs like his.
Bruno or Lorde albums from last year can be considered masterpieces seeing the state this thing is in.
