With the formality of Fifth Harmony‘s hiatus out of the way, fan favorite Normani is strutting on full steam with her premiere solo album.
Currently riding high on radio with Khalid collaboration ‘Love Lies,’ the 21-year-old is diligently working on her debut offering and she’s opening up about the team helping her craft it.
Dive below for details…
Speaking with Beats1 radio, she revealed:
“I’m working on my first full-length album. I’m the beginning stages, still. I’ve gotten the chance to work with The Stereotypes, I’m going to be in with the Monsters and the Strangerz, Sarah Aarons, Sailor Heart, Victoria Monét, Ester [Dean] — I’m getting in with her very soon, too, so I’m excited.”
Beyond their work with everyone from Danity Kane to Justin Bieber, The Stereotypes have enjoyed ample success recently with Bruno Mars. Indeed, they helmed mega successes ’24k Magic,’ ‘Finesse,’ and chart-topper ‘That’s What I Like.’
While Ester Dean‘s work with Rihanna is well documented (‘Rude Boy,’ ‘What’s My Name,’ and ‘Where Have You Been’), the Monsters and the Strangerz are also notable for their teaming with Rih (see: ‘No Love Allowed’).
Normani’s mix of collaborators definitely reads deliciously.
She packs the potential to be a real force in the Urban-Pop space and whoever’s A&R’ing her is drafting in all the right names.
We’re amped. Are you?
