Watch: Tinashe Readies New Single For Release This Week, Talks NBA Boyfriend, & More

Published: Sunday 25th Mar 2018 by Rashad

It’s undoubtedly a good time to be Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe (better known mononymously as “Tinashe”). The songstress, who after a 3 year wait has finally put an official release date on her long-awaited sophomore LP, ‘Joyride,’ is celebrating the professional triumph alongside a personal victory.

As we reported here, Kachingwe – notoriously mum about her private life – recently went public with NBA boyfriend Ben Simmons (of the Philadelphia 76ers).  If that good news is not enough, fans recently learned ‘Me So Bad’ – the final song of the trio of releases announced in January to precede ‘Joyride’s release (click here to read more on that) – is set for unveiling this week!

Ready for more info on the follow-up to the well-received ‘No Drama’ and ‘Faded Love’?  Look below:

Fans were sent into a frenzy when the photo above began making its rounds across the net.  The official artwork to her French Montana & Ty Dolla $ign-assisted single, ‘Me So Bad,’ the cut will mark the third official single release before the release of their parent album, ‘Joyride’ (April 13).

Reportedly due March 30, ‘Me So Bad’ joins a number of hot topics the star has to discuss in interviews including news around new boyfriend, Ben Simmons.  Look below as she chats with our friends at Billboard about her “boo thang”:

She could release a single feature Jesus Christ it’s still going to Flop enjoy your success from 2 on and find a basketball player to marry your music career is over

You are trash! Her feet smell better than your breath. Your breath smells like horse doodoo and your Mom fncks men for money

  2. Your Name March 25, 2018

This ugly hobbit looking chick has had sooo many opportunities given to her, yet she cannot get past one hit wonder status. FLOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Credits March 25, 2018

I just think her label has taken full creative control at this point with all of these features.

  4. Jasmine March 25, 2018

The features will help her chart better. Smart move on the label’s part but I’m sure they wanted one of these songs to chart high.

It seems there really is no sales for women of color that are RnB acts and theRe is no room for women of color to be successful in alternative music either outside of Beyonce and Rihanna. What this industry needs right now is a new Lauren Hill and a new Sade, ie female musicians whose appeal and talent overrode racial barriers.

If ever there was an artist that needed to realize it’s not going to happen, it’s Tinashe.
She’s been paired with every flavor of the month rapper as of late, has featured on one of music’s biggest stars single and still nothing.
10 Relugar singles, only one saw the hot 100.
13 featured singles, only three make it to the lower regions of the hot 100.
It’s been over four years since she charted on the hot 100 solo.
Ben Simmons is s*** and one hell of a ball player, he will be rookie of the year for the NBA. Why not ride that wave and open a couple of storms or have some children? This music thing doesn’t work when you only have social media fans, who don’t buy or stream your material.

She can’t just quit music. She has a contract. Besides, on top of music she is a celebrity. She could shift into acting or modeling but music is what will give her face recognition in order to do that shift.

I hear you but I don’t like this message. So you’re basically telling her to give up on her dreams and just F a baller? I think not.

Here’s the thing, T may not be popping mainstream but there are fans. I listen to her daily, yes daily. Her music is just good to me. You can’t just quit because you’re not making it big, what about the few fans she does have?

Her music is shaping up, I’m growing excited for this album but she’s a pain to see in an interview. Whoa!

Damage control ASAP. Her speaking voice isn’t attractive either. Less interviews and more live performances. Plz??

She just seems so giddy and childlike.

This the one. This is actually the best of the 3 tracks and I understand now why she waited to release it last. Hopefully this helps push the albums.

Sits in the corner watching Desus & Mero….

She really can’t do a song her own….it’s funny how this girls runs around with no concept or whatsoever and that with the fact that her label at least seems to be a bit behind her (so many singles, Videos, they seem to have hope that she somehow will make it). But her album cover doesn’t suit the songs we heard and this ass cover doesn’t suit the album cover. It’s just – what is this girl up to? Her mixtapes were good, but her „mainstream“ career just seems clueless, jumping on every song, genre with everyone. Just cause Rihanna can do every genre, which she seriously can, doesn’t mean you can do that.

Girl is talented and pretty, but I seriously lost every hope that she will ever happen. Actually I don’t even get how she still has any budget after all of her singles flopped hard.

At this point i think she needs a Wild Thoughts type single, someone needs to hook her up with the Despacito singer asap. I mean Urban isnt hot right now and she has tried Pop already and it failed. She wont have another 2 On moment if thats what she’s after. No Drama was lit but no one is checking for Urban music right now. She doesnt have to stick to Urban as people say she should and she needs to work with other songwriters. I feel had she gotten better pop songs she would have had a hit. Lets face it, you cant compare Superlove/ Player/Flames to a track like New Rules for example. I cant even remember any exciting lyrics from any of these songs. But i sense a bit of stubbornness in her and grandiose delusions that shes some ‘musical genius’. So she doesnt like working with other writers.
