JoJo has one of music’s most compelling voices, stories, and catalogues.
Indeed, after bursting onto the scene aged just 12, she rocketed straight to the upper echelon of the charts and looked to have the world at her feet; until a legal wrangle with her then-label saw her unable to release an album of new music for 10 years.
And while she’s been liberated from that drama and even gone on to start her own label (in partnership with Interscope), she’s celebrating all that made her journey. The ‘Leaks, Covers, & Mixtapes’… literally…on tour.
Moments ago, the 27-year-old announced the ‘Leakes, Covers, and Mixtapes Tour’ – which kicks off May 29th in Anaheim.
Peep the dates below…
She went on to explain:
“You have no idea how excited I am to sing these songs live for the very first time ??? Leaks. Covers. & Mixtapes. This tour is especially for everyone who rocked with me when my hands were tied and my voice was silenced… thought it’d be mad fun to perform these songs since they were such a massive part of my life and you have always shown such passion for them. I wanted to keep the shows small and intimate so… get your tix now baebs. I miss seeing you up close and I want to get that connection that inspires me so much while I’m working on NEW material for my next project. Just starting to put the set list together… what songs do you want to hear most?! ?????????????”
Tickets go on-sale from tomorrow via traditional vendors.
This is genius and so on the mark when it comes to JoJo’s overall narrative.
We’ll be going? Will you?
