As Rihanna’s ‘Fenty Beauty’ makes major moves for the French multinational cosmetics giant LVMH, MAC Cosmetics seeks to commodify Aaliyah’s looks and styles by releasing a collection inspired by her.

Good news for the late but eternally great vocalist below…

Fuelled by their admiration of her style, MAC will unlock the Aaliyah collection on June 20th and support it with a promotional campaign designed to honour her creativity and impact on Pop culture.

Fans are yet to learn if the performer’s family will receive a share of its sales but what they do know is that the performer used the company’s products as a teen making their decision to honour her a poignant and powerful one.
