While her lengthy catalog of hits had already seen her leave her nearest competitors, Madonna and Rihanna, in her rearview as it related to top 40 placements overall, Taylor Swift‘s latest hit – ‘Delicate’ – has only helped cement the distance.
A slow burner in comparison to the success of its ‘Reputation’ predecessors, the Max Martin-produced cut leaped to #36 this week and, in the process, gave the pop princess her 56th top 40 entry.
A historic feat, look for details below:
Swift expands her lead over Rihanna, the runner-up among women with 50 top 40 Hot 100 entries. Madonna ranks third among women with 49. Among all acts, Elvis Presley reigns with 80 top 40 titles. “Delicate” is the sixth top 40 hit from Swift’s 2017 album Reputation, following the three-week No. 1 “Look What You Made Me Do,” “…Ready for It?” (No. 4), “Gorgeous” (No. 13), “Call It What You Want” (No. 27) and “End Game,” featuring Ed Sheeran and Future (No. 18).
Though congratz are certainly due to Miss Swift for the achievement, look below to see who joins her in the top 40 with this week’s TGJ Chart Check: Hot 100 edition.
