[UPDATED]
Preceded by buzz cuts ‘Accelerate’ and ‘Twice,’ ‘Fall’ seems to be a case of “saved the best ’til last.”
Received well by fans and critics alike, it’s faring exceptionally on US iTunes where it’s blasted to #1 after one day on-sale.
On the worldwide tally, it occupies the #3 position and is rising.
It’s as good a start as a start can be for the diva and easily serves as the highest peak of the any of the songs she’s released in recent times.
Of course, we’re in the streaming era. As such, that piece of the pie will be integral to the song’s broader success.
Yet, with a highly anticipated music video to come and the energized nature of Demi’s youthful fanbase (renown for their activeness with streaming), early signs are looking positive.
In the meanwhile, folk can catch Xtina and Demi when they take to the stage to perform ‘Fall In Line’ at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards this Sunday.
‘Liberation’ lands June 15th.
