New Music: Jessie J – ‘R.O.S.E’ Album [Part 1 – Realisations]

Published: Tuesday 22nd May 2018 by Sam

Jessie J has kicked off the unique roll-out of new album ‘R.O.S.E.’

Beginning today, the vocal wonder will release a new EP – all four parts of which make up her hotly anticipated LP.

First up is ‘Realisations,’ which features the following tracks:

R.O.S.E [Realisations]

1. Oh Lord
2. Think About That
3. Dopamine
4. Easy On Me

Take a listen to the set below, which – like the project more broadly – is executive produced by DJ Camper.

Lyrically, sonically, and vocally, it’s clear Jessie is striving for authenticity and heightened meaning with this project. And we’re all sorts of impressed with this first piece.

The release strategy is lowkey genius in that not only does it automatically de-emphasize the commercial aspect (as there’s still no insight into how this’ll work chart-wise), it encourages listening to the entire album as a body of work. Something that’s becoming a lost art in this on-demand era where the masses prefer musical nibbles over full meals.

Presenting the project in this way sees the 30-year-old almost meet folk in the middle by giving them the music in manageable portions while still having them taste the whole dish.

In any case, here’s how the rest of the itinerary is looking:

May 23rd, R.O.S.E. ( Sex) out May 24th, and R.O.S.E. (Empowerment) out May 25th.

This girl has an incredible voice. Her product and bland image is what holds her back. The chinese show – just showcased what we already know. Her vocals are iconic ….wish her product was
