I’ll have to give this a good listen because I’ve been over Aubrey since I graduated high school in ’14. His last album was okay but he was still trying to hard for charts and good recognition and not making the GOOD music he was first (TML/TC/NWTS). The previews sound like my high schools days so this might be promising.
I agree. I fell out of love with him in 2013-2014 because all his stuff just started sounding the same and it still does. “Take Care” was his masterpiece.
This album def doesn’t all sound the same. Actually nothing sounds the same. Drake has a style and an esthetic that makes his music his but he experimented with all kinds of different sounds.
Really solid album. Not his best work but very consistent. Drake can’t make a bad song, every song good if not great. I especially love how uses his samples and features, faded in the background and he’s in the forefront (Nicki, Mariah, Aaliyah, micheal)
