With a catalogue as iconic as Janet Jackson‘s, it’s little wonder why the Pop queen has been hailed as one of music’s most enduring stars.
Pandora listeners clearly agree too, because they’ve hit helped the diva hit a major milestone on the streaming platform.
Kicking off the company’s #BlackMusicMonth initiative, it was announced that Jackson has accrued over 1 billion spins on Pandora.
To celebrate the feat, the 52-year-old was presented with a plaque. She also curated a playlist comprised of her own music, as well as that of Beyonce, Ciara, Lauryn Hill, and Jill Scott. Click here to listen.
The news comes at an apt time, for Jackson is gearing up to belt her juiciest jams on the newest leg of her ‘State Of The World Tour.’
She also revealed that she’s working on new music, her first since 2015’s #1 charting ‘Unbreakable.’ Fingers crossed that we’ll be spinning her new tunes sooner rather than later.
