The majority Minaj’s supporters were elated to learn that she is to support her new album with a joint-tour (partially powered by the artist Future) and new jams with Lil’ Wayne and Ariana Grande.
Alas, there are some who took to Twitter to feel that they fear her new music and the strategy she’s employed to promote it aren’t befitting of her ‘Queen’ title.

First off don’t tag yourself Queen, let it be the fans that give it to you. Secondly, the album art doesn’t depict a queen, rather a cameleon that is pouching on a tree waiting for it’s next prey. Chun li and Barbie things are good but didn’t quite bring it as expected. I expected a song with anaconda momentum. Rich s** …blah! Lil Wayne falls short too. Can’t wait for the album though, just to hear what she has to offer
The criticism is VALID. She RUSHED to release Chun-Li and Barbie Tings a week after Cardi dropped her album and it SHOWED. An Artist of her Caliber and Status in the industry should’ve been rolling out a Single WITH VIDEO the same day the fact that the visuals weren’t ready for the song release showed it was a rush job then the Barbie Tings song was WEAK and so was the video. It was better off as just an album cut. Chun Li song and video was a BOP but would’ve had way more of an explosive impact on the charts if released the same day also the album cover should’ve been linked in style to the first video release and the fact that she gave an album release date and then pushed back also showed the album was not finished and ready for a properly thought out release again SLOPPY and RUSHED. i think she rushed to do all this because she spent too much time listening to the noise when she should’ve blocked it all out and focused on quality solid music which she has shown time and time again she’s capable of. Also think the song “Rich S**” should’ve been a filler album cut and this joint tour doesn’t seem to fit the narrative of a QUEEN if that was the album title and theme i think a Solo Spotlight was fully needed for the accompanying tour. I blame only part of these issues on her as an Artist but clearly her Team is also asleep at the wheel or not able to logistically reason with her to act within her own best interest. It happens all the time in this industry and I think it’s happening now with her.
Her music is selling, so her team must be doing something right.
