Slow and steady wins the race.
Just ask Normani and Khalid, whose collaboration ‘Love Lies’ has hit a major new peak in its 23rd week on the Billboard Hot 100.
Powered by impressive performance digitally and mammoth daily gains on Pop radio, the scintillating jam climbs #21-#18 on this week’s coveted count.
The definition of a slow-building smash, the track was released way back in February but seemed to receive quite the ignition following the pair’s live showing at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards in May.
In climbing to its current spot, ‘Love’ becomes Khalid’s second-highest charting on the Hot 100 – matching the peak of ‘Young, Dumb, & Broke.’ For Normani, this serves as her first and (thus) highest solo placement.
Perhaps most exciting, though, is the fact that the track is still growing on all-fronts. As such, another climb is entirely plausible.
