Tearful Kanye West Promises To Change, Apologizes for Slavery Comment [Video]

Published: Wednesday 29th Aug 2018 by Rashad

Despite seeing his entire 2018 rocked by nothing but controversy and backlash, is Kanye West finally turning a new leaf?  If his recent interview with Chicago’s 107.5’s “WGCI Morning Show” is anything to judge by, the answer is “yes.”

Taking to the outlet, West rendered an emotional interview that saw him dish on a number of hot topics including his controversial support for Donald Trump, that ‘slavery was a choice’ comment, the Drake vs. Pusha T feud, and so much more.  Near the sit-down’s end the Grammy-winner was reduced to tears and declared:

“I don’t know if I properly apologized for how the slavery comment made people feel,” he stated. “I’m sorry for the one-two of the MAGA hat into the slavery comment. And I’m sorry for people who felt let down by that moment.”

Elaborating ‘Ye stated:

“I need y’all as a city [Chicago] to just have my back and I promise you, you gon’ see a new ‘Ye,” he continued. “You gon’ feel the impact of the new relationships and the new ideas and exposure that I’ve gathered. It’s about to be applied now.”

See what else he said inside:

Unfortunately your request to be accepted on the black side has been denied. Continue to enjoy your “wipipo” trying to emulate black features. We have banned all of your albums from the black community even your “woke shid”. We apologize for the confusion this has caused you and we encourage you to apply for other opportunities as they are announced.

While there may be some truth to that article Perez has it out for Bey. I won’t believe that article unless there are other sources reporting it. The article claims half the stadiums are empty but we all know the seats behind the stage are always gonna be empty and if there is a runway that means more empty seats. The best source of truth will always be YouTube videos by fans who post a video of the audience. If the stadium looks crowded and people having fun that is all that matters. Whatever money is made from the tour is going to pay their mortgage, living expenses, and savings accounts anyway.

So true. You def can’t compare the number of seats to ticket sales. I attended a concert and like a fourth of the stadium was behind the stage. So of course no seats were sold there. But whatever, it was nonetheless nearly sold out, there were some empty seats, and there were way more people than in an arena. With that being said, I don’t know why people care so much how many tickets they sell. They make a very good living obviously and if you don’t like them, then simply don’t follow them.

Yawn…. the slavery comment was misunderstood, and Kanye supporting Trump has nothing to do with being black.

    • Rasputia Latimore August 29, 2018

People understood his comment perfectly well. That n|gga ain’t deep or that educated. His comment was very offensive. Period.

Keeping it real. Kanye using his mental status as to why he’s having problems to connect again with the people in Chicago. Keep it real people have turn their backs and the money is not coming in as you think it should because at this point you feel as though you should be pas a billionaire status and you not getting the black peoples support is damaging to you and the Kardashian’s empire
