Dive below for details…
Earlier today, we reported that Maroon 5 are as good as certain to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in Atlanta on February 3rd 2019.
Naturally, it’s led many to speculate about special guests that may joining the group; especially considering that they’ve cranked out a number of collaborative smashes over the course of their career.
Well, according to Billboard, rappers Cardi and Travis Scott are on the official shortlist to join Adam Levine and co.
Given the mega-success of current hit ‘Girls Like You’ – which features the Bronx bred femcee – it’s little surprise that her name is in the mix.
Having amassed almost 900 million video views, the song has reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is said to be on cusp of hitting #1 next week. A reality that no doubt makes a Cardi appearance all the more plausible.
That said, it’s worth noting that Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga, who headlined Halftime this year and last year respectively, opted to perform alone. Hence, guests aren’t always a guarantee.
