Lady Gaga Spills On ‘A Star Is Born,’ Upcoming Album, & More On Beats1 Radio

Published: Sunday 7th Oct 2018 by Sam

Lady Gaga is receiving glowing reviews for her contributions to ‘A Star Is Born’ – the movie and soundtrack.

Still, never one to rest on her laurels, the 32-year-old is strutting the promotional pavement with potent purpose.

The latest stop brought her to Beats1 radio on Apple Music.

During a candid chat with Zane Lowe, the superstar songstress opened up about the process of making the film – including losing her friend Sonja to cancer one hour before shooting the flick’s final scene.

Beyond diving into music on ‘Star,’ she also teased the new material she has coming on the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Joanne.’

Watch the full interview below…

Great interview and a welcome departure of the sometimes same ol’ of some of her movie-promo sit-downs.

We’re intrigued to hear what she’s cooking up for her next LP. The ‘Star’ soundtrack fuses a number of sounds and many of its songs are striking a chord with consumers; so which of them she decides to zero in on (if any) will be interesting to see.

Bish is slaying hard. Didn´t Katy end her? 🙂

Supposedly EVERYONE ended her at some point (even while she had the highest grossing female tour in 2017, won a Grammy, Golden Globe, etc. etc.). Gaga is not only the UNDENIABLE QUEEN OF TALENT but also the queen of causing delusional meltdowns by other fan bases lol.

Oh. And her movie will gross over $40 mil, 33% above already high predictions. Queen.

I´m very used to box office. I know the film will cross the 100 million mark in the USA, which is a success for a film like this. It could have flopped or just been one more cute release while fans wait for a new album, but it is not being such thing. This thing is looking like a big success. The worldwide box office will be more than decent too, both names are well knows and the songs are the type of songs with universal appeal. The thing that has surprised me most is the strenght the single “Shallow” has shown for more than a week at the top of itunes from the get go. Shows people, people who like quality are still here for her and know she is real talent. These basic people were calling her a fad all those years after Born This Way era ended LMAO I always knew deep inside a talent like this had to prevail someway somehow. And it has, probably more than what I expected. She also had the determination to do it, cause many talented people who face hating campaigns from the media and superficial pop public just “retire”. In that sense, Mariah had enough strenght to prevail and win people back big time. But it happens very rarely.

I have been saying for years Gaga is the most talented and versatile mainstream female music star of the last 10 years, Bruno Mars being the best male. Of course there are tons of other young talented people I like. But with the mainstream appeal those two are the biggest I think.

Also, loved in this interview when she said people can sing technically perfect but they don´t say anything. That´s what Beyonce fans cannot understand and why the vocal trinity are above her forever and for always. Her voce is not hair-raising nor emotional.

“people can sing technically perfect but tell no story at all” *cough* Beyonce
