Christina Aguilera may have just shared her ‘Liberation,’ but she’s already baking its follow-up.
Indeed, during the promo run for the critically acclaimed album, the songbird stressed that she wouldn’t wait as long between projects. A point notable given the seven year gap that separated her last two LPs.
Now it appears Xtina is being firm in her word.

Taking to social media, the diva thanked fans for attending her ‘Liberation Tour’ which recently wrapped its US leg.
While promising more dates, Aguilera also made clear that new music – specifically a new album – are incoming:
Smart.
Having been gone for so long, it makes sense to keep the momentum going as she re-establishes herself in today’s musical climate.
Sure, Christina is from an era where “artistes” took years to cook-up albums. But we’re now in an era (a streaming led era at that) where the rules are that there are no rules. Surprise albums drop out of the sky without notice and acts shoot to #1 with songs not tied to any project. It’s truly a new day.
Plus, the list of acts with the luxury of taking elongated spells out of the spotlight is shrinking (by the day it seems). And as the commercial performance of ‘Liberation’ showed, Xtina just isn’t in that pack anymore.
That said, as ‘Liberation’ also showed, the singer still is equipped to deliver great bodies of work. As such, we’re elated to hear she’s coming through the new-new.

I don’t think no one is in that pack. She still did really good in this climate. She sold 70k+ her first week with sales alone, not a lot of today biggest stars are even selling that in sales they rely on streaming so that’s one thing I hope Xtina can benefit from this time around

and still struggling to secure records that make any lasting impression on the general public.

First of all someone is obsessed with Mariah… Secondly, Christina is below 40, and released her 8th studio album whereas Mariah released her 15th this year. Mariah’s 8th studio album sold 116000 copies and if you wanna go with age, Mariah in Christina’s age (basically in 2008) released an album that sold over 500000 the first week. Do you mind stopping the comparisons because Mariah f***s Christina over any time.

It’s only smart if she finds her groove – because if she’s making music for the fans ‘Fall In Line’ was just not it. ‘Pipe‘ and even ‘Like I Do’ were much better vocally as was ‘Unless It‘s With You‘ (best studio ballad since Beautiful). And stop telling us you don’t care and you‘ll wear what you want – YOU NEED A BETTER STYLIST to complete the package. Dead at the photoshopped Stars and Stripes bikini photo shoot from 4th July and then her body looking nothing like that when the album promo started ?

She looked fire and I couldn’t agree more
She needs to lose some weight and inhance her choreo
But I wish she keep it minimal like liberation production and look wise
She needs to chill and play with her kids.
Liberation showed she’s not able to bring anything new to the table. She’s just following trends now.
