Shakira‘s commitment to kindness and philanthropy have seen her ready the development of two new schools in Colombia.

The Pop superstar made her way home to celebrate the breaking of the ground she is to use to build two new schools she hopes will enrich the lives of her people.
When some children don’t receive the same education as those who live in better conditions we can’t talk about a country in peace, we can’t talk about a country with equality, because education is what equalizes us.
She hopes to inspire her government to see the value in funding educational programs and support children by making it easier for them to reach their full potential. At the heart of her quest? Pies Descalzos, the charity she founded in 1997.
The foundation already has four schools in Cartagena, Barranquilla, Quibdo and Soacha and will spend $4.6 million on the new Cartagena school, in the Villa de Aranjuez neighborhood, and another $4.3 million on the project in Barranquilla’s Nuevo Bosque with help from several private donors.
There’s power in purpose.

Why doesn’t she open one in Lebanon? She’s more Lebanese than she is Latin yet rarely does anything for people of Mid East
First of all that’s an assumption. Secondly Lebanon as a country is doing fine. Thirdly pro-Middle East speech is seen as “far left” speech and Shakira is more center-oriented as far as politics go.
And why would you do a post like this and post a pic where she’s in front of the Brazilian flag?
