Published: Sunday 16th Dec 2018 by Sam

Alessia Cara‘s unique voice and lyrical skew has seen her earn praise aplenty for being one of the more exciting new talents in today’s musical climate. A sentiment the Grammy committee clearly share, after awarding her the Best New Artist award at this year’s ceremony.

Currently on the promo trail for recently released sophomore set ‘The Pains Of Growing,’ the 22-year-old seized the moment to salute one of her musical inspirations – Destiny’s Child.

Together with her band, Cara delivered a ‘DC Medley’ comprised of classics such as ‘Say My Name,’ ‘Survivor,’ ‘Bootylicious,’ ‘Bills Bills Bills,’ and more.

How did she do? Watch below and let us know…

Very cute.

The songs were sewn together seamlessly and she held her own vocally. Kudos.
