He’s done it again!
As if lodging his fifth consecutive chart-topper with April 2018’s ‘K.O.D.’ wasn’t noteworthy enough, J. Cole‘s learned the project has crossed the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) threshold for platinum certification.
The feat marks the third time he’s done so with no accompaniment. Details inside:
As noted above, Cole’s ‘KOD’ is among an elite group of projects released in 2018 that were also certified this year. Unlike a number of his contemporaries, however, he did so by his lonesome. The accomplishment is not only a rarity in Hip Hop, but in the music world in general.
And, while the LP was widely ignored by the Recording Academy for consideration at the 2019 Grammys (as we reported here), this feat serves as reassurance the general public is definitely here for Cole!

This website & it’s “writers”, ALWAYS embellish the truth. QUEEN has not sold more than 720,000 copies — including streams here in the US. The album is NOT certified platinum. Pay attention to how they manipulate the wording. As with ANY OL ALBUM…sure, it can be “on its way” to platinum status someday. Meanwhile, that day is not now — the end of 2018.
