R. Kelly‘s lawyer has threatened to sue Lifetime if it doesn’t pull the plug on the docu-series it created to expose his alleged abuse of women and children.
This, as Aaliyah’s mother faces criticism for claiming that any talk of him molesting the performer when she was a minor is nonsense.
Full story below…
Aaliyah’s family turned a blind eye to collect the coins. Everybody ain’t lying. Mom, you can have several NAPS, seats aint good enough. We don’t believe you.

The must-see series begins tonight and sees psychologists link arms with Kelly’s victims to discuss his perverse antics and how they became susceptible to them. Joining them? Friends and relatives who say they have proof that he is guilty of the crimes he is accused of committing.
Now, as Aaliyah’s mother has been criticised by fans who say is refusing to acknowledge the severity of the abuse her daughter was forced to endure, Kelly’s lawyer is threatening to sue.
Aaliyah mom is hell bent on protecting her name too. You feel guilty for leaving your child with a man. Don’t try and rewrite history to save face. You weren’t with your daughter all the time. Hell she got married without you so we know that’s not true.

That statement from Aaliyah’s mom is a lot. But your daughter married Kelly at 15 so of course her name is gonna be brought up in that doc. Their relationship is evidence of his predatory nature

Diane was a stage mom… ever see One of those little girl beauty contests? That was Aaliyah’s mom

Kelly’s lawyer, Brian Nix, fired off a legal letter — obtained by TMZ — warning the network that its “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary is packed with lies. Nix threatens to file a federal lawsuit Thursday — the same day Lifetime’s set to air the special — if the network doesn’t relent.
Their empty threats have done nothing to stop Lifetime from moving forward with the documentary.
I’m not sure if that statement Aaliyah’s mom released is real or not, but to say Aaliyah had “nothing” to do with R. Kelly is false.
Secondly, if you (her mom) were with her “every place & everywhere” she went her whole career – how did she end up married as a minor?

Be sure to tune in tonight.
Aaliyah’s mom doesn’t want to relive guilt for what happened. So she’s lashing out and I understand that. But to call someone a liar when you know full well it’s true is insane. Especially after there are interviews from her confirming what transpired between RK and Aaliyah.
