The who’s who of Hollywood will be take center stage on Sunday night at the 91st Annual Oscars.
Musically, all eyes are on who’ll be taking home the Academy’s Best Song honor – with Lady Gaga‘s ‘Shallow’ and ‘All The Stars’ by Kendrick Lamar and SZA deemed as clear frontrunners. Much like their respective movies ‘A Star Is Born’ and ‘Black Panther.’
And while much ado has been made about the show’s need to stick to tradition by having all nominees in the category perform on the live telecast, Lamar and his TDE comrade aren’t taking up the offer.
Variety reports that the reason is due to “logistics and timing.”
Notably, Lamar passed on an appearance at the Grammys earlier this month.
What is confirmed is that Gaga and Bradley Cooper will be making their televised debut together.
Elsewhere, also being given a live look: ‘When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings’ from ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ (Gillian Welch and David Rowlings), ‘The Place Where Lost Things Go’ from ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ (Bette Midler and Marc Shaiman), and ‘I’ll Fight’ from ‘RBG’ (Jennifer Hudson).
