SMART. ? #Cardi
Well ok but does sis really look like this or is there a filter thats making her eyes look sunken and beady at the same time… Because she lowkey look like that momo challenge thing…
?nah that’s her in natural her form ?
?whew she need to put that lace front & make up back on cuz that forehead & face without them is ?
Very very smart. The thing I love about this new generation of talent…they are smarter. Argue with me all you want. There’s no reason why iconic figures like MC Hammer and Lil Kim should be broke. It’s sad they didn’t optimize their opportunities in their prime.
These artist today are branding themselves. They ain’t relying on just music income.
I agree but we must remember there are way more avenues to success now then there were back then. It was harder to reach audiences back in the day and you needed the backing of a big label to make any real impact.
That’s true
Wow she’s reaching. Don’t everybody in New York say this?
Yes. On one hand I can kinda see her logic to profit off of it, for “popularizing” it (you know, amongst white people that is), but on the other hand, I do see why people would be upset if someone took basic cultural phrases or lingo that everybody says and trademarked and commercialized it as THEIR catchphrase. No shade but her entire persona is a stereotype. And Okurr, eoww, what’s poppin, etc. etc. and everything else that’s supposedly “her catchphrases” have been created and widely used by a lot of other black people for a long while now…
Agreed! Couldn’t have said it better myself!
How is she trying to trademark a phrase Langanja Estranja said consistently on air on RuPauls Drag Race back in 2014 before Cardi B was even on the scene!?
Exactly ????
And before that it was a sketch a white lady did in 2010
Trying it’s trademarked now so get mad who cares what some forgettable drag queen said if he say it again on tv cardi get check ha ha ??
She’s definitely not the first one to say this so good luck getting that bag.
