Ciara should have used the opportunity to show out and showcase a couple songs from her new album. The song she performed is not hit or future hit so it was a waste. Level Up would have been better. I feel bad for her. It’s like she is locked in 2007 and can’t seem to find hit success the past decade. Also, her live performances could be more entertaining. This was more of a lazy performance for her.
The performance was a showstopper. Plus the song is rising on iTunes.

This is true. While I wasn’t that impressed by Madonna, Mariah or Paula’s performances, they were still a hundred times better than any of the other performances.
Mariah definitely deserved that award but my Gawd, her performance was terrible! Out of breath and voice crackin all over the place!
Nope she was good overall. She was nervous and had a few botches. But you reaching.
That is how she always sounds though. Her voice is better suited for studio and concerts than short live performances. In the studio she can perfect it. On tour, she sounds the same but the audience appreciates her overall voice because of the wonderful notes she hits during the total performance despite the missed notes. Here her voice sounded good to me (despite the missed notes) and the ones not liking her performance are not appreciative of the wonderful high notes she hit live. I wish she moved more on stage though. If you are going to just stand there and just waive your hand your voice better be flawless like Tamela Mann and MAriah’s voice has flaws.
She needsto move more. Celine is a super performer compared to her. It´s a pity because Mariah has showed signs sometimes that she could do better. For example her 2016 European tour was so good. Her voice was in better shape than it has been in 5 years and she moved a lot (for her standards). I think it´s her damn weight.

notes let you know she’s singing live. I enjoyed her performance

Did we see the same Madonna performance? It’s not even about the hate, it was a mess, poorly staged, and the song sound like an attempt to jump on the LatinX crossover train without Bieber/Little Mix/Beyonce, etc. but 3 years too late.
It’s impressive that Madonna can still slay at her age — better than the other tired performances —, but did we hear she dropped $2-3 million on those computer animations for this performance? This was not the song for her to slay, should have saved those coins for a good song/bop.

Ciara needs to give it up with that song wasted opportunity, Madonna looks good but for 5 million wasn’t really spectacular or anything memorable her dude hot though!! Mariah Carey looks good. Hasley looked a mess so did Kelly Clarkson the rest it’s whatever. It’s hard to believe Taylor swift is almost in her 30s her look and sound is immature.

It would of been nice if she would of gave us a little taste of the vibe that the video was giving us. That pant suit from 2000 was horrible and her weave looked horrible. She needs new management because that performance was not awesome you know that. I’m a Ciara fan but that was horrendous. She has not grown and that is why her career is where it is. Don’t be a fan that settles for mediocre but instead one that encourages your artist to grow and give 110%
Oh my what a disappointment this show was. Kelly was fun but definitely couldn’t top her self from last year. Performance wise I no longer am a fan of Khalid ( WTF? he cant sing live or pronounce his words) Halsey- Pink did it better, STOP!!. It seems the veteran performers definitely proved that these days they put anyone out there with or without talent. I hope the pendulum swings back one day where we aren’t over saturated but instead given true talents that will stand the test of time and put out music with meaning that will resonate with us years to come.
