Months before making her film debut in the Jennifer Lopez-led stripper film, ‘Hustlers’ (click here to read more about that), burgeoning diva Lizzo will be making her televised awards show performance debut via the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards next month.
Having already rocked the house at the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards earlier this year, the 31-year-old is certainly no stranger to award shows. This time, however, her performance will hit television screens across the nation and sees her join a bill that features the likes of Martin Garrix, Macklemore, Patrick Stump, and more.
Hosted by ‘Shazam!‘ star Zachary Levi, the MTV Movie & TV Awards will air on Monday, June 17 from the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles (click here to see the recently announced nominees). Upon the announcement of her inclusion, Lizzo took to Twitter to say:
The live showing will give viewers just the incentive they need to catch her on the road as she kicks off the second leg of her wildly successful ‘Cuz I Love You’ tour this fall. Click here for dates.
P.S. Although ‘Hustlers’ will come as her first “real life” acting experience, the singer is no stranger to assuming the role of a character for film. She’s one of many famous entertainers lending their voices to the recently released animated feature film, ‘UglyDolls.’
