‘Press’ is one of the tracks Cardi is using to carve a clear path out of her second studio album and was performed by the rapper on Sunday night’s BET Awards.
Supported by Christian Owens, the Hip-Hop starlet rocked the event hit the stage with hopes her delivery of the track would work wonders for it on a sales and streaming tip. Fortunately, it did.
For, while it currently sits at #59 on iTunes USA, the tune surpassed the 23.3 million Spotify streams mark this month this morning as millions make their way to the platform to spin it after seeing her rock it live.
With this, she extends her lead as one of the highest/fastest-streamed artists to debut within the last decade and, at least far as sales-equivalent numbers go, outperforms numbers generated by her Atlantic Records sibling Lil Kim on a pure sales front.
