While many are showering Taylor Swift‘s new video ‘You Need To Calm Down’ with praise for its celebration of LGBTQ rights, a small sect of others aren’t so impressed.
One took to singer Ciara‘s social media page to vent about her marrying a gay couple in the visual – but CiCi was having none of it.

Ciara. You shouldn’t be doing this. We respect u too much, Being at a gay wedding is one thing and joining them together is even more a greater sin. We love you but this is wrong.

Religions were created by men, so were the notion of sin that come along.
Mariage is a CIVIL act to formalize a relationship, and beyond its symbol, benefit from certain perks such as fiscal rights etc.
Standing from that point of view, no one can deny an union between 2 people, regardless of their gender, everyone should benefit from the same civil rights.
People always mix religion with mariage. Don’t forget that many people don’t believe in any god, they just want to get married.
That being said, religion « pollute » the public space way too much.
Back during polytheistic religions eras, people were much more open minded.
Monotheistic religions, basically it is s** = children = mariage. Anything that doesn’t fall in that line is a sin.
How about you all who have s** before mariage and call out gays ? Aren’t you all sinners as well ?
How about you all not eating certain things not allowed in your religion yet drink alcohol that is also forbidden ? You want to have it both ways and sound righteous when by definition you’re also a sinner.

With regards to the comment, she wasn’t judging Ciara. She merely spoke on an observation. Second, she is entitled to her opinion of the situation just as Ciara is. Third, I agree with the comment. The difference with me and the person who posted that comment is I expect nothing from these celebrities. They are blind people and there is no point in getting them straight. They do music for themselves. Neither of them knows how to put God first. Not Ciara and definitely not Taylor! I think Ciata took the comment personally and I think the commenter was wasting her time.
