Mimi is in the midst of the ‘Caution World Tour,’ which is presently playing to audiences in Europe.

While we’re typically weary of acts who embrace the McMusic model (see: churning out at fast rates with questionable nutritional value), we have no such worries when it comes to Mariah. Her catalogue defines quality.
Sure, her albums have been spaced out by years in more recent times, but longtime Lambs will recall how she used to release on an almost yearly basis. Hence, we’d gladly lap up more of her magnificence. Bring it on!

I want her to work with LA Reid again. He seems to be able to convince her to do big ballads still and that is where her voice shines. Caution is moody and current but in certain a beautifully written song like Portrait could have been sung much bigger if she was convinced to do so.

Unlike a lot of the children today she’s doesn’t have to make music…she does it because she loves it. Call it a flop but Mariah’s catalog speaks for itself.
No, because she signed one of the largest music contracts is history and has to fulfill her contractual obligations.
What contract? Mimi is not under contract to make future albums nor are long term contracts even given out these days. Record labels are NOT investing a lot of money in artists, especially those around Mariah’s age.

Unlike most acts today she is one of few artists from her generation that would release an album on a yearly basis but the difference is everything was quality which is why she has one of the greatest musical catalogues which she owns by the way. Caution is a great body of work so I will be eager to see what MC has in store with new music.
