Diddy sent many a millennial into a flutter today, because he has teased the return of groundbreaking series ‘Making The Band.’

Taking to IG Stories, the mogul (who currently serves as a judge on FOX‘s ‘The Four’) revealed that MTV have been in contact about rebooting the talent-search – which launched the careers of Danity Kane and Day 26.

Per the vid above, he said:
“Years ago, I did something that will go down in television history, this show called ‘Making the Band,’ MTV called me out of nowhere and said, ‘What do you think about partnering and bringing ‘Making the Band’ back?’ I was like, man, something so great, sometimes you don’t need to mess with it. You need to just leave it alone.”
He stopped short of “confirming-confirming” the tea, but went on to add:
“I’m kind of on the fence about it. I feel like that’s my calling as a coach, to be able to take young talent and take them to the next level.”
The teasing continued on Twitter, with Diddy and MTV bantering back and forth…

Launched in 2002, ‘Making The Band’ evolved into an Urban property under Diddy’s shepherding and in docu-series style was one of the first true insights the masses got into how the music industry works.
It also proved a potent platform to endearing the public to the stars of tomorrow and the material they were working on. Something which was integral to the rise of Danity Kane – who still enjoy a loyal following ’til this day.

MTV Why not team up with someone new? The ladies of danity Kane made it quite known that Diddy doesn’t actually give a damn about the groups once the show is done. Hell what happened to Donnie Klang?
DIDDY HAS NO LONGTERM SUCCESS in solidifying bands, artists, groups or other music stars.
He is simply the man who places the focal act in front of the masses.
Otherwise, they better have their own management, A&R, PR team and other agent reps in place — beyond his scope, record label or contracts.
Diddy is POISON to the success of a big thing amongst the industry. He’s egotistical and too self righteous to truly develop the brand & likeness of other creatives.
