Nicki Minaj‘s new single ‘Megatron’ is need of a super boost if it is to maintain its success on the Billboard Hot 100.
Find out why below…
The rapper stands as the highest selling and highest streamed female rapper in chart history but has seen the lion’s share of her chart success generated by pure sales.
With this in mind, some fans are concerned that not enough is being done to keep the track in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 20 after it slipped and fell out of the iTunes Top 100 today.
The song’s pure sales crushed figures earned by each and every one of her fellow lady lyricists this year but now finds itself in danger of becoming a short-lived hit now that its pure sales have dipped to surprising lows.
In its opening week the jam earned over $500,000 globally ( $99,000 of this came from the United States) and extended her reign as the highest-selling female rapper in all of the markets in all major music markets.
Alas, it now seems that her fans have dropped the ball.
Will they be able to pull things back together in time for the next Hot 100 update?
